Chairman & Managing Director
Paul Lock is the founder and Managing Director of Pan Asia Metals, the only battery metals company with lithium mining and processing projects under feasibility in Southeast Asia. With over a decade of mineral exploration experience in Southeast Asia, Paul is a seasoned expert in the region and the industry.
Before founding Pan Asia Metals, he served as a corporate adviser at Everspring Partners and worked in various roles in corporate advisory and leveraged finance at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He also has experience as a derivatives trader and high-yield bond investor at Rothschild & Co. and worked in the commodity trading division at Marubeni Corporation. Paul holds various academic qualifications, including a Master of Political Economy from Sydney University and a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and is also a member of AusIMM.
Technical Director & Chief Geologist
With over 30 years of experience as an Economic Geologist, David has a diverse background working across geological terrains globally, from Australia and Asia to South America, the USA, and Africa. Notable projects under his purview include the Adelong Gold Project, Broula King Gold Project, Webb’s Silver Project, and the Woodlawn Zn-Cu project. Since 2013, David has concentrated on Southeast Asia, where he combines his geological expertise with project management, environmental stewardship, safety, and effective stakeholder engagement.
David’s extensive professional credentials encompass 24 years of AusIMM membership, including his designation as a Competent Person under the JORC Code for various mineral deposit styles. He has also made significant contributions to the industry through publications and presentations at conferences and seminars. David’s versatile expertise extends to his prior role as a member of the NSW Minerals Council’s Metalliferous Mining Committee.
Non-Executive Director
David has a lifetime of resource sector expertise. Beginning with stockbroking in London, he transitioned to an analyst role at Slater Walker London in 1965, where he played a pivotal role in financing the Mt Windarra nickel discovery and numerous other resource assets. In 1984-87, David led Sedimentary Holdings as CEO, successfully overseeing the transformation of the Cracow Gold Mine in Queensland.
In 1987, David entered the Thai resource sector, contributing to the discovery of the Chatree Gold Mine, a cornerstone asset of Kingsgate Consolidated. In 2002, he assumed the role of CEO at Thai Goldfields NL, focusing on Thai SPL applications with a rich history involving Newmont, Ivanhoe Mining, Phelps Dodge, Oxiana, and Tigers Realm Minerals.
Non-Executive Director
Thanasak, a Partner at The Capital Law Office, a prominent Bangkok-based legal firm, brings over 25 years of expertise in tax law and corporate matters to his practice. His extensive experience includes positions at prestigious firms such as Baker & McKenzie, Bangkok, and Linklaters, Bangkok. Thanasak also co-founded LawAlliance Limited, specializing in Thailand tax laws and double tax treaties involving Thailand.
Since 2008, Thanasak has served as a special lecturer in various tax law subjects at the Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, and the Faculty of Business Administration, Kasetsart University. Additionally, he holds the role of NED at Cal-Comp Electronics PLC, a publicly listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Thanasak’s qualifications encompass a Master’s degree in law (LL.M.), a Certificate of American and International Law, and a Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B. (Hons)).
CEO, Pan Asia Metals Thailand
Kampon brings his extensive legal and business expertise into play as an alumnus of Chulalongkorn University. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master’s in Economic Law, along with a Professional Lawyer License from the Law Society of Thailand, his career spanning significant roles at Quality House Public Company Limited and TGF (Thailand) Company Limited.
Consistently demonstrating adept leadership, strategic problem-solving, and a commitment to fostering positive work environments, Kampon finds respite on the golf course during his free time, enjoying a game that mirrors his professional life—strategic, focused, and always moving forward.
Senior Exploration Geologist
With an impressive career spanning over two decades, Sakda Ritkoh stands as a beacon of expertise in the realm of geology. As the Senior Exploration Geologist at PAM, he brings a wealth of experience in multi-commodity mineral exploration activities across Thailand. His focus has been predominantly on a diverse range of geological deposits, including the intricate workings of Hydrothermal Epithermal Low Sulphide, Carlin-type, and VMS deposits, as well as Sn-W Breccia pipe deposits. His work has been instrumental in shedding light on the Regional Work in Western Belt Intrusive Rocks in Thailand.
Beyond his exploration expertise at PAM, Sakda serves as a key liaison with government entities like the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM) and the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) and is a member of the DPIM Geologist community and the Council of Science and Technology Professionals of Thailand (CSTP).
Environmental Specialist & Head of CSR
P’yon is a distinguished professional in the field of environmental management in the mining industry. He oversees crucial responsibilities such as managing pesticide residues in mining operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and spearheading the rehabilitation of mining areas. His expertise is also vital in the management of environmental funds for mining projects, reflecting his commitment to sustainable and responsible mining practices.
In his role, P’yon is deeply involved in strategic planning and collaboration. He represents his agency in various important committees and maintains close working relationships with the Environment and Public Health Departments. His active participation in these areas highlights his proficiency in Environmental Impact Assessments and the proactive management of environmental concerns in mining. P’yon’s dedication to enhancing PAM’s productivity is demonstrated through his focus on proactive measures and effective coordination with local and central agencies, emphasizing his commitment to inclusive community engagement and social responsibility.
